Intersections is aseries by The Clique Artworks that reinterprets the modern urban experiencethrough geometric abstraction, building a visual and conceptual bridge between Istanbul's historically multilayered structure and New York's sharp verticalrhythms. Here, the city ceases to be a geography — it becomes a mental mapthrough lines, colors, directions, and intersections. Rather thanrepresenting concrete images of cities, the works xplore their associations,memory, and continuity. Blocks of color, vertical and horizontal planes, andsharp forms evoke an architectural grammar, ayering allusions to Istanbul'sorganic narrow streets alongside New York's grid-planned layout. Eachcomposition captures the tension at the intersection of these two urban logics: the spontaneous and the designed, the organic and the artificial, the asternand the Western.The series focuseson the internal dynamics of urban life —speed, direction, rhythm, density, andsilence. These abstract structures convey not only the order of anarchitectural plan but also the emotional experience of those who inhabit thecity. Each surface becomes a projection of both an external space and aninternal onsciousness, emphasizing that space is not only a physical entitybut also a way of thinking, a site of emory.Intersections is anabstract diary of the modern individual's visual, patial, and emotionalrelationship with the city — freezing moments of crossing, a gaze, a movement,or a silence on a timeless surface. It invites the viewer not to a familiarcityscape, but to the network of relationships, vibrations, and voids hiddenwithin it.
