Efe Kurt's curatorial practice took shape with the founding of ALAN Istanbul in 2009 and has since evolved into an uninterrupted body of work. From Istanbul to New York and Miami, Kurt has curated exhibitions that brought the most established names of Turkish contemporary art to the international stage.

Each exhibition was conceived not merely as a display of artworks, but as an independent space of thought — engaging with art theory and social reality simultaneously. Titles such as "Che Vuoi?", "The Ideology of the Image", "Intentional Overdose", and "The Dialogues I" reflected the dynamics of Turkish contemporary art while establishing a profound dialogue with international art discourse. The recurring themes — desire, ideology, identity, the urban experience, perception — gave each exhibition a conceptual depth that extended well beyond its walls.

Presented at prestigious venues such as Mana Contemporary and as parallel events to some of the world's most significant art fairs, including The Armory Show, these exhibitions established Efe Kurt's curatorial vision as recognized both locally and on a global scale.
